Paraska-Plutka Gorytsvit – Carpathian artist and photographer (1927-1998). She had a very difficult life at that time (like many other ukrainian artists, writers, and сultural figures in soviet times). But for me, she's a symbol of true freedom and deep creativity. I decided to paint her young and free on top of the mountain, with a strong wind blowing into her face.
The illustration was created for a book project "She made it" which contains 100 stories about brave, interesting, and strong women personalities of all times in Ukraine. Publishing house "Vydavnytstvo"
